Accredited LAT calibration certificate for pressure instruments with nominal expanded uncertainty U < 0.05% FS

“Comprehensive” calibration according to Euramet guideline CG N0. 17 Ver. 4.1

This calibration procedure is the most comprehensive available and allows the metrological characteristics of the instrument under calibration to be evaluated in the most effective way. Its complexity makes it unsuitable for the calibration of less accurate instruments. It is usually used in inter- or intra-laboratory experimental comparisons or to guarantee the traceability of measurement for working standards of a calibration centre.

  •  11 pressure points
  • 3 measurement cycles
  • climb and descent
  • 66 points in total of comparisons
  • identification of the error and the expanded measurement uncertainty for each measurement point (11)
  • determination of the expanded uncertainty in cases where corrections are not applied
  • determination of the maximum measurement uncertainty over the entire measuring range
  • determination of the maximum uncertainty over the entire measurement range, where no corrections are applied
  • graph showing errors and associated uncertainties

Accredited LAT calibration certificate for pressure instruments with nominal expanded uncertainty 0.05% FS ≤ U < 0.2% FS

“Standard” calibration according to Euramet guideline CG-17 version 4.1

This calibration procedure is suitable for instruments of medium metrological quality. Although less comprehensive than the “Comprehensive” procedure, its complexity makes it unsuitable for calibrating less accurate instruments. If the calculated expanded uncertainty were less than 0.050% FS, its value would be set to 0.050% FS.

  •  11 pressure points
  • 1 full cycle
  • 2 upward cycles of 4 points at approximately 10%FS, 30%FS, 60%FS and 90%FS.
  • 30 points in total for comparisons
  • identification of the error and the expanded measurement uncertainty for each measurement point (11)
  • determination of the expanded uncertainty in cases where corrections are not applied
  • determination of the maximum measurement uncertainty over the entire measuring range
  • determination of the maximum uncertainty over the entire measurement range, where no corrections are applied
  • graph showing errors and associated uncertainties

Accredited LAT calibration certificate for pressure instruments with nominal expanded uncertainty U ≥ 0.21 TP3T FS

“Basic” calibration according to Euramet guideline CG-17 version 4.1

This calibration procedure is the simplest of those recommended in the reference guideline; it is used for the calibration of less accurate instruments that do not require particularly detailed assessments of their metrological characteristics. Generally, the resolution of these instruments plays a key role in the composition of the measurement uncertainty. If the calculated expanded uncertainty were less than 0.20% FS, its value would be set to 0.20% FS.

  • 6 pressure points
  • a complete cycle
  • two upward cycles of about 2 points each
  • 0% FS and 50% FS
  • 16 points of comparison in total
  • identification of the error and the expanded measurement uncertainty for each measurement point (6)
  • determination of the expanded uncertainty in the event that corrections are not applied
  • determination of the maximum measurement uncertainty over the entire measuring range
  • determination of the maximum uncertainty across the entire measurement range, in the event that no corrections are applied
  • graph showing errors and associated uncertainties
